I created a Falin cosplay and had to make a decent number of adjustments to make it more screen accurate. There were a few issues with understanding the instructions when I made the tunic and I had to turn the grey undershirt into a button up since the instructions had said to use a zipper on the front (which would have looked very... not good, in my opinion). The sleeves for the blue jacket were WAY too short in the pattern so I had to add about 8 inches of length. The sizing was accurate and overall, besides the adjustments, the garments were easy enough to make. This was my second time working with a pattern ever so I'm not too experienced, and it was pretty easy to follow along to thanks to the pictures that were included in the instructions. My insta has a more in depth post with progress pictures if interested (reinemilkfish)
I like the pattern, but since it said unisex, I thought I could use it for costumes for two men. That didn't work, needs a really different size table. Had to make many adjustments armholes, princess seams, neckwidth etc. I am making both the Falin and Marcille outfit.
Hey there, thank you for your review!
My patterns are marked as unisex due to being made for a more non-binary body as opposed to a typical clothing size for 'Men's' or 'Women's' clothing.
I always recommend checking the size chart in the pattern images before purchase, as well as making a mock-up before moving onto your final fabric to ensure you craft the perfect fit for you.
All the best,
Payton
I am in the process of sewing Marcille's dress and I am overall very pleased with this product. The pattern pieces are easy to assemble and the instructions are easy to follow. (The sleeves for the Marcille pattern seem a little to large for the armholes, but this is likely a skill issue... :/ )
The fit of the garment is very nice, however the length of the garment might be a bit large for shorter individuals. I'm 5'2, and the garment ends just above my ankles; keep in mind that you may have to alter the length of the pattern if you too are a short king/queen/royal...
haven't had time to make everything, but im about halfway through my marcille mockup and the pattern is coming together perfectly!
