This pattern did end up making a nice vest, but only after a significant amount of alterations on my end. The XS was the perfect size around the waist and chest, but the length of the pattern ended up being so long that it came down to mid-thigh even on me, a relatively tall person (I am 5'9). I had to rework the pattern to remove about 6 inches of length in the front and back, and still cut the tails in the back so that they would hit above the hip instead of well below it. Aside from that, there were parts of the pattern that seemed unfinished, like the notions list that did not include buttons, Velcro, or bias tape, (the latter of which I never ended up using, and have no idea where it was supposed to go?)
All in all, this pattern ended up being a lot of trouble for me to use, but once I finagled it, it came out nice, there are just some things that probably could have been done differently or reviewed to make it a smoother build for next time.
